Retreat Information

EYSO holds an annual Veterans Day retreat for ALL ORCHESTRAS. Because our members come from all over the greater Snohomish county area and attend many different schools, the retreat is both an important and fun time for us to get to know each other personally as well as musically as we prepare for our our upcoming concerts. Attendance is mandatory. All costs are included in the tuition. There are no additional fees. 

Junior and Youth orchestras have an overnight retreat at Warm Beach Conference Center in Stanwood on Veterans Day eve & Veterans Day (November 10th & 11th, 2009). EYSO musicians are transported to and from Warm Beach Conference Center by chartered bus. Students are not allowed to drive themselves - NO PERSONAL VEHICLES!!  On Tuesday Nov 10, the bus picks up musicians at Kamiak High School at 3:40pm and at the Marysville Park & Ride on Ash and 5th Avenues at 4:30 pm. Please meet the bus at the location most convenient for you. On Wednesday Nov 11, the bus will return orchestra members to the Marysville Park & Ride at 3:45pm and Kamiak High School at 4:15pm.

A packet with retreat schudule and details will be distributed to musicians in early October.

Prelude and Intermezzo - Intermezzo & Prelude Orchestra members have a mandatory rehearsal on Veterans Day, Wednesday November 11th, 9:00 - 12:00 at Prince of Peace Lutheran Church in Everett. Intermezzo musicians start at 9am, Prelude musicians start at 10am. Immediately following the rehearsal, Intermezzo & Prelude members are invited to a pizza lunch followed by a rollerskating party. For orchestra members, all expenses are covered. Family members are welcome to come to the pizza lunch and skating party.  Family members will need to pay their own skating fees.

1. Instrument, music and pencil

2. Warm, layered clothing

3. Sleeping bag and pillow

4. Appropriate sleepwear

5.Toiletry items and towel                                                                        

Please label all your belongings!!
Please do not bring personal electronics - ipods, laptops, PDAs, etc.
